App Help: Known Issues

Explore Completion

Participants may fully complete all the questions in Explore and see that progress on their Movement progress screen, but be sent back through Explore if they navigate back to another core area to change their satisfaction score (Menu > 7 Core Areas). Temporary Solution: All your answers are saved for the Explore questions, so re-answering or changing your answers is not necessary. Participant should click Next through each screen until they are back to 100% completion on the progress screen. Continue on to the "Plan and Act" section.

Plan & Act Progress

Participants may fully complete all the questions in Explore and have begun progress and/or completed goal/action step creation in Movement Plan & Act, but be sent back through Explore if they:

  • navigate back to another core area to change their satisfaction score (Menu > 7 Core Areas), or
  • revisit steps in Explore.

Temporary Solution: Participants should tap Next/Yes through each screen until they reach the point at which they previously left off.

Android: Can't access Continue button

If your keyboard covers the "Continue" button, your device should have a down arrow to hide your keyboard when you are done.

Android: Changing Language Preference—still showing original language

If you install the App while your language preference is English then change preference to Spanish, the App will still have English language for the majority of the App content. Please uninstall and reinstall app, after you have your preferred language set on your device. Log in using your same user account information.

Logging Out: Notification Nav

If you log out of Optimal You, then use a notification to take you back to work on the App, it returns you to the correct step, but doesn't know who you are, so you won't see any data. You will need to get back to the log-in screen. Force close the app and reopen to get to the log-in screen.

Goal Summary/Action Step Summary PDF Filename

The filename for your goal summary or action step summary will not be unique to the goal or action step. You can rename the file to something more descriptive if you wish.

Goal summary/Action Step summary PDF for Print/Email sometimes takes a long time to load

You may see a screen with a blank title bar and large white area while the summary PDF loads. Please wait for a few seconds while this is happening. If the summary still does not load, force quit the app and relaunch it. You should be returned to the summa ry screen where you can try again.

Video Issues

Depending on your Internet connection and/or server traffic, in-app video may not play, or may take a long time to load. Transcripts are provided for all video so that you can read the content provided in a video without needing to watch it.

iOS app: Logging In After Editing Account Information

In the iOS app, if you edit your account and then immediately log out, upon log in you may get a blank screen with Optimal You in the title bar. Use the Back arrow at the top to get back to the menu drawer and/or 7 core areas.
